In this lesson, I'm going to show you a cool jazz lick that I think you're going to like!
You can play it over any minor chord and it has a very jazzy sound. It makes use of chromatic runs, approach patterns, arpeggios & triplets.
I recommend transposing it to several different keys to help internalize it so you can use it in your own playing. In this video, I go through it in C minor, G minor and D minor - but you should continue round the circle of fifths and work it out in all 12 keys.
Lesson Summary:
- Start with an example of the lick
- Demonstration of chords to play underneath
- Breakdown of the lick, note by note
- Finish with a quick overview
