In this lesson, you're going to learn some helpful tips on how to practice scales. You should really be practicing them rhythmically whilst using a metronome. You can also play the scales as broken 3rd or 4ths.
Practicing them in a variety of ways allows you to see the scale from multiple perspectives, allowing you to internalize it at a very deep level. It will also give you patterns to use when improvising, along with left-handed 4th voicings to use when comping. All sorts of benefits!
